Mecanismos de acción enzimática

Para que la enzima (E) realice su función, primero debe unirse a un sustrato (S) y formar un complejo enzima-sustrato (ES) del que obtiene un producto (P). Luego de la reacción, la enzima queda libre para actuar sobre otro sustrato (S)


Los investigadores han establecido dos mecanismos básicos que explicarían, de manera dinámica, cómo las enzimas llevan a cabo su función catalítica:


-Modelo de llave-cerradura: como lo indica su nombre, este modelo plantea una analogía entre la interacción de las enzimas con su sustrato y el funcionamiento de una llave que se complementa específicamente con una única chapa o cerradura. Si bien es cierto que este modelo da cuenta de la relación específica entre una enzima y su sustrato, sugiere una interacción ''rígida'' entre ellos, condición que algunos científicos actualmente cuestionan. 














-Modelo de encaje-inducido: este modelo sugiere una interacción más flexible y plástica entre la enzima y su sustrato. La idea es que a medida que el sustrato se acerca a la enzima, induce cambios de forma en ella, de manera de ‘’acomodarse’’ y así establecer la relación 
específica que caracteriza a esta interacción

    1. Se refiere a que una enzima es especifica para cada sustrato, por ejemplo hay enzimas como las liasas que se encargan de catalizar la ruptura de enlaces de ciertas moléculas como C-C, C-S y C-N, estas enzimas cumplen su función en esas moléculas en específico, no en otras... saludos ✌
